Ahmednagar Education Society, Ahmednagar was established in 1918 by Late Justice Shri Mahadev Govind Ranade . The Governing body decided to start College of education in 1965. From 1965 to 1989 the college of Education was controlled by the AES. Later on it was transferred to Vidya Pratishthan (Maharashtra) Ahmednagar Kendra. It is affiliated to Vidya Bharti. The college has a well established library situated in separate and sufficient place which was constructed with aid of UGC and is accessible to all concerned. Our Library has a special and unique importance because of the nature of Educational system and its role as a laboratory for anyone involved in the educational process. Students, teachers, researchers, and other persons who engaged in teaching professions cannot accomplish their work without library. Our Library is a true learning resource centre, it is one of the oldest and biggest library in our Ahmednagar district in the subject Education. The Library has a good collection of books on subject education and related subjects, reference books, Journals, Magazines, Ph.D. thesis and dissertations.
